What is VASER?

VASER – an acronym for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance – is a form of VASER Liposuction surgery. It is designed to remove the extra fat from some of the vital parts of the body, especially where it does not melt away easily. Ultrasound energies are passed through small probes made on the body to emulsify excess fat, which is then sucked out with the help of a “cannula” tube.

What are the areas that can be treated with VASER?

VASER procedures work on virtually every pocket of fat that is otherwise resistant to exercise and diet, such as the neck/jaw-line, abdomen, thighs, love handles, and back of the arms. It is also an effective treatment for gynecomastia. VASER technique is helpful in treating these areas as it is less traumatic and minimally invasive, so the delicate blood vessels and nerves are subjected to significantly less degree of trauma than otherwise.

Treatable Areas:

  • Tummy: This is a very popular area where VASER lipo has been found to be very effective. The tummy comprises the abdomen – lower and upper – and is often chosen by individuals as the spot from where to lose weight. It could be part of a simple tummy tuck procedure or a larger mommy makeover.
  • Thighs: VASER liposuction is a very appropriate procedure for getting rid of the unwanted fat from the inner as well as outer thighs.
  • Back: This is another popular area where liposuction surgery is performed. Pockets of fat often build up in different areas of the back and become difficult to deal with – for example, fat buildup in the upper, lower, or middle portions of the back. The major problem with these is that no matter how much you exercise, they simply refuse to budge.
  • The knees, buttocks, and hips are other areas that have been known to benefit hugely from the use of VASER liposuction surgery. Moderate use of this procedure also helps in the reduction of the calves.
